Psalm 100

Psalm 100
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all
the earth.
Worship the Lord with
gladness;
come before him with joyful
songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and
we are his;
we are his people; the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good and his
love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues
through all generations."

What has God done in your life recently? Have you thanked Him for it? Would you like to share what God has done in your life?

If you are just coming across this blog for the first time and you are not a Christian I want you to understand that God is His creator of Heaven and earth. He created you with a purpose. He has set eternity into your heart. We all have problems. We all have sinned. Fallen short of the glory of God. Maybe you have a burden, a problem that you have been carrying around all by yourself. Trying to fix it all on your own... You know what you can't...Only God can fix your problem of sin. Give it over to the Jesus today in prayer. God cares about you so much that he sent His one and only son Jesus to take away that burden away once and for all on the cross. Jesus Is the Son of God who loves you more than you will even know. So, why give not only your problems over to Him but your life over to Him. You are saved by the grace of God. (Eph 2:10) But you must believe that Jesus is the son of God (John 3:16) I want you today to go to the Church of Christ nearest you knowing that God's grace, the Holy Spirit and forgiveness of sins, awaits you there in baptism(Acts 2:38). You have been called by God to be a disciple of Christ(Matt28:18-20). Jesus wants you to follow Him today. There may not be a tomorrow. The great thing is that God has given you the gift of today; rejoice and be glad in it!
Thank God today that he has given you life and an opprotunity to recieve eternal life!

We take for granted so much don't we. Listen to one of your last statements, "the opportunity for eternal life." WOW! The God of the universe looks down through all of the cosmos into our world, into our country, into our state, into our county, into our city, into my life and loves me! How awesome is that??!!

I pray that more and more people will just listen to His call of salvation through Jesus and accept it. He paid such a debt to give us eternal life.

One of my favorite passages in the scripture is (Romans 4:7-8 NLT) ""Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. {8} Yes, what joy for those whose sin is no longer counted against them by the Lord.""

It truly is a joy to be in that kind of grace!

Your post gets me thinking--I've been very grateful for the earthly blessings God has given me--but I need to think about the eternal perspective as well!

There is not space to tell how much God has worked and continues to work in my life. He is an amazing God and I am certain I must be His favorite child. Otherwise how could I be so blessed?
I enjoy your posts, K

Peace

Not every post will be that nature of course. But, I definately with use it in that form from time to time. I will keep it up! I believe blogs can get people to think about their relationship with God.

George,
I am glad that my post gets you to think about the eternal perspectives of your life. We all need to be thinking about the eternal. It is the eternal that really matters.

Thank you. This is my first time on your site and I’m a first time blogger. I found your message very meaningful.

I didn't really get to know God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, until a couple of years ago. Religion was “nonexistent” in my childhood and I never sought out information even into my adulthood. Now, I know how much God was a part of my life even when I didn't even know who He was.

Two years ago, God knew I needed Him during my husband's illness. John and I both did. Now, I look back and see that God was everywhere and was always there when we needed Him. He never left us, was constantly present to calm and comfort us when we were both in need of that. On my husband dying day, a very peaceful death, I said to him, "John, There's Jesus. He has His arms out for you. He's here to meet you. I’ll be OK. It’s ok to go. Go to Jesus." My husband's eyes were closed but I could see that under his lids he was searching, trying to see Jesus. John’s eyes stopped moving and he took his last breath. If there is anything beautiful about death, losing a loved one, that was beautiful. There was peace in witnessing my husband, my best friend, my lover go into Jesus’ arms. I now know John’s ok and I will be, too. Because “God Is”.

Since that moment I have been on a high-speed spiritual journey to learn all that I can about Jesus and eternal life. I've learned so much about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, His love for us, how to worship, about daily prayer, building my relationship with God, expressing my gratitude for His many blessing, His grace, His forgiveness, how I must forgive, the seriousness of my sins, salvation, my need to repent, to be a witness God’s glory, my desperation to be worthy of eternal life, His Second Coming and how He does give us the opportunity to spend eternal life with Him. God is truly Awesome. His Word is my nutrition. I'm so thankful that God waited for me to find His light and that He's now lighting my way. Oh, Heavenly Father, Thank you.

I don't have a favorite passage quite yet. In the past two years I’ve read so much. I have learned that each passage in the scriptures is another piece of the big puzzle, interlocking with each other, helping me to see the picture that is on the front of this puzzle box; "God Is”.

One passage that did help me during my grief journey and has kept me focused on my spiritual journey is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11. It not only taught me how to grieve but it confirmed for me that Jesus is coming back, that I will see my husband again, that there is eternal life and that I must do everything I can, right now, so when Jesus comes, I will have that "opportunity" to spend eternal life with Him. Yes, “God Is”.

A gazillion blessing to you and your family. Keep up your good works and thank you again.
Julie
